Motown Records newcomer Kevin Ross shows us why he’s on everybody’s watch list as a rising star; Maxwell, Ne-Yo and Trey Songz have all endorsed Ross as one of R&B's next big things.
Today, The Berklee School of Music graduate shares with us the acoustic video for “Overrated,” a ballad which has him longing to leave the single life behind. Armed with a piano and acoustic guitar accompaniment, Ross pines to be loved: “You know that I’ll choose love any day over being single / See it’s getting to the point I can’t take it, the single life is overrated,” he croons.
Ross just got off tour with Maxwell this past summer, and is already prepping to open for Ne-Yo on the Grammy-winner’s “Ne-Yo: Live in Concert” this fall. (Peep those dates here).
Ross’ EP Dialogue In The Grey is available today (Sept. 16), but you can stream it first over at OkayPlayer here.
