Sean Kingston is catching another row of negative media attention after a Hollywood club promoter was robbed at an event he was hired for.
According to TMZ, police have launched an investigation into allegations that members of the “Fire Burning” singer’s posse cornered the promoter over payment for Kingston.
Kingston was said to have been booked to host and perform at the Avalon nightclub in Hollywood for $11,000, half of which he received upfront and the other half was suppose to be delivered after the gig.
However, the promoter quarreled with Kingston's crew upon the star's arrival after he reportedly turned up three hours late and demanded the rest of the money. After refusing to pay, this allegedly led to the promoter getting robbed of his watch, iPhone and cash.
Cops were called to the scene but no arrests were made. The watch and cell phone were later recovered on the club grounds, but the money was missing.
The promoter, whose identity has yet to be released, told officers he was convinced Kingston orchestrated the attack, but he did not name the star in his subsequent police report.
