It has been a good week for Keyshia Cole on the music side.
This week, the R&B singer-songwriter released two songs: the heart-breaker "Rick James," featuring Juicy J, and the vulnerable cut "Next Time (Won't Give My Heart Away)" – both being very personal songs for Cole. These two songs clearly express each end of the emotional spectrum she went through after reports surfaced that her husband NBA player Daniel "Boobie" Gibson was unfaithful to her. Nevertheless, Cole delivered on those emotions, a feat she has conquered since her debut, and fans are still eating it up. The records land one and two respectively on Singersroom's Top 10 Most Popular R&B Songs of the week.
Following close behind at the No.3 spot is reality TV star turned singer Porsha Williams with "Flatline". With all the drama surrounding her divorce from Kordell Stewart on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” we're guessing fans wanted to check in on her emotional rollercoaster. "I’ve been working on this song throughout the whole divorce and the whole season, mapping out my emotions and putting in things that I’ve gone through," she said.
Miguel and Wale’s edgy cover of Elton John’s “Bennie And The Jets,” and Jhene Aiko’s “My Afternoon Dream” round out the top 5.
