A week removed from the Grammy Awards and independent soul singer Algebra Blessett is garnering R&B listeners' attention. Last week, Algebra was No. 2, this week her record "Nobody But You" moved to the top of the list. It is a sign that independent artists songs are finding ways to reach a wider pool of listeners.
The Atlanta native dropped her sophomore album 'Recovery,' a week ago on Purpose Records, a powerhouse independent label. Since dropping the project, she is going directly to fans as she has traveled to New York, Atlanta, Los Angles to connect with them.
It appears Kelly Price has balanced her chi; she pulls inspiration from 'Eat Pray Love' for her upcoming album, 'Sing Pray Love Vol.1.' The R&B Diva is in a better state; the lead single "It's My Time" is an anthem for anyone ready for success and happiness.
"She’s a diva full of drama, don’t believe her / Hearing things that people saying, got you twisting so much fiction, not much fact / And ain’t nobody got time for that!" she declares to those who are speaking alleged untruths.
Rico Love put an end to unofficial remixes of "They Don't Know" by scooping up his team for the official version. He brings an army of R&B and Hip Hop artists including Atlanta's own Ludacris and T.I., label mates Tiara Thomas & Emjay and Trey Songz to remix "They Don't Know."
