Kelis has already announced the forthcoming release of her next studio album 'Food,' but tomorrow she plans to deliver fans an early appetizer.
“Sharing something exciting with you tomorrow!” Kelis writes on Twitter, but it’s currently unclear what her surprise will be (we just have to wait).
The upcoming LP’s title ties into Kelis’ career shift as a chef; she recently graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school.
The album is expected to be a mash-up of raw and alternative soulful records invented by "the most creative people in the industry" according to Kelis.
"This is the album I've wanted to make for a long time," she says. The record is entirely produced by Dave Sitek, he is known for working with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Santigold and TV on the Radio.
Based on the Internet leak "Jerk Ribs," Kelis hops from the dance genre back into R&B and soul for her latest creative project.
The experimental singer signed a new contract with Ninja Tune to drop her sixth solo album tentatively schedule to hit retailers on April 28.
