Apple has another sales record to brag about, but this time it’s not for any of their “i” innovative devices.
Beyonce’s newly released secret self-titled fifth studio project is now the company’s fastest selling album on iTunes with 828,773 copies sold worldwide in the first three days. This number also includes a record setting 617,213 units moved in the U.S.
As far as the iTunes record, Beyonce is available exclusively with the digital portal at $15.99 and fans cannot purchase individual songs from the LP.
The self-titled project serves as Beyonce’s first visual album and includes 14 new songs and 17 music videos, which were shot around the world from Houston to New York City to Paris, and Sydney to Rio de Janeiro, all before the album’s release.
“I just want to give my album to the people I love and respect and hope that they feel the same thing I felt when I made the music,” said Beyoncé.
Manufacturing of physical albums is in progress and the double disc CD/DVD will be available at retail in time for Christmas.
