R&B has been growing and producing amazing artists lately — talented crews and cliques are also emerging. Jade De Lafleur is a new artist that has a style that is elegant and robust with a delicate mix of vintage and fresh.
If you are not familiar with Jade, you should be familiar with singer-songwriters Solange Knowles, Cassie and Jhene Aiko, who all contributed to Saint Heron, Solange’s new compilation album, the first release from her independent label Saint Records. They all have music and a style that is a perfect balance of strength and femininity. They all embody beautiful women with something to say. It seems R&B has a new voice through these women.
Jade developed a working relationship with Solange while working as a back-up singer and dancer on the Solange and Hadley Street Dreams tour.
Along with the aforementioned names, Saint Heron also features songs from Starchild, Sampha, Jade J, BC Kingdom, Kelela, Petite Noir, Iman Omari, and India Shawn.
