Even though Lady Gaga and Katy Perry were billed as this year's most anticipated performers, the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards were all about "The 20/20 Experience" and Justin Timberlake.
Returning to the stage where he made his solo debut, Timberlake picked up a total of four moonmen Sunday, more than any other artist, and walked away with the golden moonman representing the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
What preceded that award win was nothing short of amazing as Timberlake performed a 16-minute set, giving viewers and fans a run through of just about every hit he has had over the last decade, including "Cry Me A River," "Senorita," "SexyBack," "My Love" and "Like I Love You."
Deep into the set, the lights were dimmed and Timberlake re-emerged with Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lance Bass and JC Chasez for what turned out to be a high energy reunion of N'Sync.
