John Legend has not only worked with Kanye West in recent months. He's actually hit the studio with a number of hit making producers, including Hit Boy, Q-Tip and Pharrell Williams.
Speaking of his forthcoming album, "Love In The Future," recently, Legend said he spent a couple weeks in Hawaii to focus on the arrangements of the album with hopes that they could create "a beautiful modern soul album."
"After touring with Sade, I [started] writing. Me and Kanye talked about making this album as a definitive sound of soul," Legend shared with Billboard. "We focused on making this album sound great. I'd write a song, send it to Kanye, Dave Tozer or the rest of the guys working on the album and they'd try different production ideas."
Now that collaborations have also been completed with DJ Camper, 88-Keys and Da Internz, John Legend says the album is "wrapped up" and ready to go for its intended September release.
Led by the single "Who Do We Think We Are," Legend's album, "Love In The Future," is due for release Tuesday, September 3.
