Chris Brown has two less court charges to worry about in an ongoing case stemming from a May accident in California.
Officials confirmed the dropping of the charges Wednesday, including a count of driving without a valid license and the infraction of allegedly failing to have proof of insurance.
"I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene. She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures,” Chris Brown said of claims that he provided incorrect information at the time of the accident.
While he can rest a bit easier with these two charges thrown out, he will still face the misdemeanor count of hit and run and must be booked by August 6.
Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, expects the third and final charge to be dismissed as well, following an alleged settlement reached with the woman involved in the May 21 accident.
Chris Brown's next court date is August 15.
