Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder and John Mayer are among the acts slated to perform during the second Global Citizen Festival at New York's Central Park this Fall.
According to organizers, the festival, which is meant to ignite and support awareness and issues affecting impoverished communities, will also feature a performance from Kings of Leon on September 28 at Central Park's Great Lawn.
“We write a big list and we think, ‘Who will effectively represent the cause of ending extreme poverty in the way they perform and the way they’re involved, and who would also inspire a generation of people to take action?’” Global Poverty Project CO Hugh Evans said in a statement. “We’re fortunate that this year some extraordinary people put up their hands to perform for free."
