Nina Simone, Jimi Hendrix Homes To Be Restored in Reality Series

The childhood homes of some of the most notable historical figures and musicians will be restored in an upcoming reality show series on both the History Channel and PBS.

Among the historical landmarks to be restored is the former home of Nina Simone (b. Eunice Kathleen Waymon); plans have been underway to restore her former Tryon, North Carolina abode since her passing in 2003, and the series will give viewers a chance to witness the elaborate process to refurbish the home of her birth, which will be a memorial to the beloved jazz musician.

Nineteenth Century Restorations is behind the homes’ reviving process, and will be funded through their non-profit charity.

The former homes of rocker Jimi Hendrix and Civil Rights icon Rosa Parks will also be revived on the series.
