Jennifer Lopez adds another notch to her long and diverse entertainment resume. The singer-actress-dancer has been named chief creative officer (CCO) of NUVOtv, an English-language Latino network.
J-Lo was tapped by the company a few years ago for what she calls "the face of the network," but now insist "once we sat down and I started expressing my point of view about the programming and the network, it grew into something bigger."
She plans to involve her production company as she gets more involved with the marketing, branding and program development sectors of the company.
"A network that reflects the modern Latino experience, but in English, must have the quality that everybody has," said Lopez.
As far as being on-screen with the network, the network will produce a 90-minute biography special about her life, and she is open to new ideas. "If we find a great show," she says. "But I always want to do what's right for the network as opposed to using it as a vehicle for myself. That's not the point."
NUVOtv's new programming will debut July 18. The network reaches 32 million households.
