Hit making producer/songwriter Rico Love stopped by Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club yesterday and let's just say, the "Motivation" producer is busy with a lot of projects including Monica's new album (follow up to "New Life"), K. Michelle ("Love & Hip Hop Atlanta") and Teairra Mari.
While Rico Love is busy working on all of this new music, he did take a moment out to talk about Keyshia Cole slamming Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child earlier this month (at the Super Bowl). According to Love, what Keyshia said was very tacky and in poor taste.
"I love Michelle and she's a really good friend of mine. I think it was in poor taste what Keyshia did. It thought it was tacky. It was random. I know Keyshia as well. Listen believe it or not, Michelle is one of the funniest, coolest poeple I've been around. I don't think that was called for though."
While you can catch Rico's full interview in video below, here are a few highlights, including his thoughts on the Diary of a Street King story alleging that he made Teairra Mari his sex slave.
Teairra Mari/Threesome Story:
"Yeah I saw that. They said me and my girl were having threesomes with her."
"(Is it true?) No. Not at all. I thought it was a hilarious story. I just think it's cool that they even know who I am."
Why he believes in Teairra Mari:
"I think she's a star. I think the same thing Jay (Z) saw in her when she was a kid, I still see that. She was young, she was with Jay-Z at 14 and 15 years old. At a young age you might have cursed out the wrong person. You might have been stuck up to the wrong DJ, rude to the wrong program director... the bridges may be burned. I believe that you just keep working at it."
Working on K. Michelle's new album:
"She got that soul, that anger, that fire and that voice. She's super cool."
"I'm starting on Monica's new album next week."
