State Of New Jersey Going After Mary J. Blige For $900,000 in Unpaid Taxes

It seems Mary J. Blige is having some financial woes. After being hit with a lawsuit recently for defaulting on a bank loan, the Queen of Hip Hop/Soul was slapped with a tax lien by the State Of New Jersey, who wants their $901,769.65 in unpaid taxes. The official documents were obtained by TMZ; the site also revealed a laundry list of money troubles for Blige.

Besides owing the near $1 million to the Garden State, Blige was sued for defaulting on a $500,000 bank loan. In addition, she was sued for allegedly defaulting on a $2.2 million bank loan last year and prior to that, her charity was sued after failing to repay $250K.

Blige recently spoke with LA's Confidential Magazine about shaking her last addiction after battling with substances her entire career. The singer says she tossed away all alcoholic beverages for good and credits Whitney Houston’s death as her wake up call.

Sane mind = sane decisions, so we hope MJB can now manage her financial troubles and get back to what she does best…making hits.
