Soulful singer and actress Jill Scott is happy for this year's Grammy winners, including Miguel, Frank Ocean, Usher and more.
Missing the awards to spend time with her son, Scott tweeted Monday.
"Congratulations to all the Grammy Winners!!!!!! I have no idea who you are yet but I know your on a high. Don't tell me who won!!!!!! We DVR'd it. The boy and I are gonna watch it during breakfast. I'll finish when he goes to school," said Scott.
Jill Scott had been in Los Angeles to attend a number of events, including the Pre-Grammy party with Clive Davis, honoring L.A. Reid, Saturday night. While there, she broke the news that she would not be attending the Grammys because she needed to spend time with her son, who is now three years old. She also broke news that she actually worked on an animated series while in Los Angeles last week and even completed a few auditions !!
"I did six different jobs this week. I wore a lot of hats," Scott shared on the Pre-Grammy party red carpet. "I've done an animated series. I've been in a television show. I've auditioned for some things. I have worked and ran so much this week that I've decided to just take this day and pay my son back with a whole rack of appreciation. He's my team member. He's only three, but he's got my back!"
