Fantasia's forthcoming fourth studio album will be like nothing we've heard from her before. According to Harmony, who produced songs with the "American Idol" winner and "Lose To Win" singer, Fantasia is very "open and truthful" on this album.
"This is an album for people to be like 'I relate. I understand.' They're going to look at her differently. Even though she has made her mistakes, that have played out in the industry and in her life, this is an album where she gets to tell everybody. This album, she gets to kind of explain herself," Harmony shared with K Empire Radio in a recent interview. "It's just you and her. There's no interruptions or anyone twisting the story. It's just her explaining herself purely."
As previously reported, Fantasia has titled this album "The Side Effects of You" and plans to release it later this Spring. It is her first album since 2010's "Back To Me" ("Bittersweet," "Even Angels") and is a project that will feature a sound that she has labeled Rock-Soul.
"This is Fantasia like no one has ever heard before. Fantasia at a completely different place," says Harmony. "She made a great body of work. She doesn't lie on the album. She talks about stuff that hurt her and things that she did to hurt other people. She's open and truthful."
In related news, Fantasia took the stage at the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration concert in New Orleans Friday night. Her mother, Diane Barrino, was also in the building.
