Fantasia's comeback seems to be getting sweeter. The former American Idol winner will headline the upcoming Super Bowl Gospel Celebration at the
UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans on February 1. The event is a precursor to the NFL Super Bowl game on February 3, which will boast a halftime show performance from Beyonce.
In addition to Fantasia, the Gospel Celebration will feature gospel music singers Donnie McClurkin, Pastor Marvin Winans, Bishop Paul S. Morton of New Orleans, and several local acts. The event will be hosted by ABC's "The View" member Sherri Shepherd and Gospel phenom Kirk Franklin.
Since launching in 1999 during Super Bowl XXXIII in
Miami, the gospel celebration has donated more than 4,000 tickets and a
portion of its proceeds to local and national charities. This year's
beneficiaries include the Malcolm Jenkins Foundation and The Sharper
Kids Foundation. The former was founded by New Orleans Saints player
Malcolm Jenkins while the latter was founded by Darren Sharper - a
former Saints player and brother to former Seattle Seahawks player Jamie
Sharper.
As far as Fantasia, she recently announced the title of her upcoming fourth studio album, The Side Effects of You, which is led by the first single "Lose To Win."
Fantasia shot the music video for "Lose To Win" earlier this week. See photos from the actual shoot here...

"My
whole album I wrote with one guy out of London, his name is Harmony. I
didn't want to flip flop and be everywhere because a lot of times, with
my other albums, I've worked with different producers, great producers,
but this time I just wanted to stick with one person so that we can just
have an album that has one sound and everybody is on the same page,"
says Fantasia.
