“Texas Chainsaw 3D,” the horror flick starring Trey Songz, is the nation’s top movie at the box office.
The anticipated flick opened Friday, Jan. 4 and grossed 10.2 million, topping “Django Unchained.”
Also starring Alexandra Daddario, “Texas Chainsaw 3D” is on track for a $21-25 million weekend total.
As previously reported, this is Songz’s first mainstream flick to hit theaters.
Speaking of the flick in a recent interview, Trey Songz said he was “honored” to be cast.
“It made me more honored to be a part of the film and that there was so much homage paid within this one,” Songz said of watching the original before filming scenes for this version.
Official weekend box office numbers will be released early in the week.
