Ian Grey - The Re-Evolution
You may know him as Imagine from his 2011 debut freebie Strangers, but now he goes by Ian Grey on his second offering The Re-Evolution, a project he calls “cinematic.” The talented singer-songwriter lists Kanye West, John Legend, Coldplay, and Justin Timberlake as influences, and listeners will hear all of the above in Grey’s sound as he tackles personal subjects, love, and social observations.

Tracks like “Talks in the Dark” dreamily drifts along in blissful mental intimacy, and “Go” is a banger that relishes in being content in the single life after being fed up with drama. “Devil in a Green Dre$$” is the O’Jay’s “For the Love of Money” for 2012, and the relatable “Time for Work” addresses the sentiments of many who find dissatisfaction in the daily grind of their day jobs while wanting more out of life.

Great to vibe to or ride to, get acquainted with Ian Grey’s Re-Evolution.
