Fiona's heartfelt monetary donation will go towards the organizations annual “Popular Women In The Industry” event, a workshop that brings together successful women from different Creative Industries to take part in a panel discussion, which includes topics around successes, failures, challenges, and advice all through the lens of a woman.
“I’ve always felt that it is important to give back. I have worked as an ambassador for The Remix Foundation for sometime and it feels great to be able to put some money where my mouth is and help these deserving kids. Its programs like this that help so many people reach their dreams and I think that’s amazing,” said Melanie Fiona.
In related news, Fiona was nominated for a Grammy at the upcoming 55th Grammy Awards for her song “Wrong Side of A Love Song,” which is lifted from her sophomore album, The MF Life.
“It is always an honor being recognized by the Grammy Academy and to be nominated for a song that I put so much in to this year, I am very excited," says Melanie Fiona.
