The Gospel Music Channel will premiere a brand new series starring LeToya Luckett and Rockmond Dunbar next Sunday.
Titled “For Richer or Poorer,” the series is based on an original play aired earlier this year.
“For Richer Or Poorer is a story about commitment and honesty. A married couple of four years questions their commitment as they go though difficult financial times that ultimately place their strengths and weaknesses on the front line,” reports GMC.
Six episodes of “For Richer or Poorer” were shot in less than a week earlier this fall, keeping Luckett, Dunbar and other members of the cast very busy.
According to LeToya Luckett, best known for hit songs like “Torn” and “Not Anymore,” the series is funny, uplifting and current in terms of struggles that couples are going through today.
“They go through real-life situations, and that’s what I love about it. But it’s still funny and uplifting. A married couple that’s really, really in love even when they go through things. It’s like, we’re going to work this out,” Luckett shared with Star News.
“For Richer or Poorer” premieres Saturday, Dec. 1 on GMC.
