Sylvia Rhone Partners With Slip-N-Slide For New Signee Sebastian Mikael

Sylvia Rhone is focused on discovering and launching the careers of singers, a duty she championed well before leaving her executive post at Universal Motown Records. The music industry veteran signed Harlem rapper-singer Deon Young earlier this year, and recently added Swedish crooner Sebastian Mikael of Berklee College of Music to her Vest In Culture label roster.

In the past, Sebastian Mikael performed under the moniker De-Lor before switching to his birth name and signing a record deal with Slip-N-Slide. Now through a partnership between Slip-N-Slide and Rhone’s Vested In Culture imprint, Sebastian Mikael is prepping his United States debut album.

While Sebastian readies his upcoming debut, the label will re-release “Beautiful Life,” a sober guitar driven cut that explores the riddles of inspiration for taking each breathe penning as he sings, “don’t let it waste your time/where is the life in you/God put a life in you, a beautiful life.” The uplifting record unravels reasons for anyone seeking value of their existence.
