Forget diamonds. Shoes are a girl’s best friend, and Keyshia is tapping into that market by teaming up with Steve Madden to create a hot shoe line. “It’s all about what I have in my head and being able to go up to their headquarters and actually pick fabrics and different styles and be able to bring it to life,” she told TT Torrez for Girl Talk on iPower 92.1. She said the white stilettos she recently rocked on a 106 & Park appearance were her creation and are a part of her collection, which are slated to hit stores in November after the deals are finalized.
But despite Keyshia’s current happy station in life in being married with a beautiful family and career in upswing, recent comments on a song from rapper Gucci Man threw a wrench in her prosperous picture. And haven’t we all been there? Just when everything is going right in your life, somebody comes along and feels the need to stir things up.
Gucci claimed in a diss song towards Young Jeezy called “Truth” that Keyshia slept with P. Diddy. “I did a song with Keyshia Cole and I know you still miss her/ But Puff was f*cking her while you was fallin’ in love with her,” Gucci said in the lyrics. Keyshia has since denied the allegations, even saying on Twitter “Putting all ya trust in some of these “Hood Rappers”.. How u gone be a G, and u spreading lies, To sell mix tapes! Where ya talent at??”
But she took the time to address it again when brought up in the TT Torrez interview, bringing up the fact that the beginning of the song brings comparisons to the Tupac/Biggie/Faith Evans rumors from sixteen or seventeen years ago. Keyshia’s maintains that she’s in a different head-space to even deal with foolishness. “It’s like, Biggie was with Faith when Pac lied on her, you know what I’m saying? And I’m somewhere else…Why you even bringing me [up]?” she countered.
Here’s to hoping she converts all that negative energy into positive energy, which can manifest into a sizzling shoe line!
Her new album “Woman to Woman” drops on Nov. 19.
