On the heels of wrapping his role in the upcoming Texas Chainsaw 3D movie, set to hit theaters on January 4, 2013, Trey Songz is making his name in the acting world yet again in the David E. Talbert book to-movie-romantic comedy Baggage Claim.
The cast includes Paula Patton, who plays a 35-year-old flight attendant who refuses to attend the engagement party of her younger sister without a fiancé of her own. She gives herself 30 days to find a man with which to become affianced, narrowing her choices down to a pastor, a political councilman, and a rap producer, played by Songz. According to the Hollywood Reporter, other cast members include Taye Diggs (playing the political councilman), Derek Luke, Adam Brody, and Djimon Hounsou.
Filming is set to begin later this month in Los Angeles.
