Tionne Watkins, better known as T-Boz of the group TLC, has begun filming for a new docu-reality series slated to be aired next year.
Ironically the series will be airing on the TLC network and is under production in Atlanta, GA.
At this time the network has ordered four episodes and may just pick up more if the show does well.
Sources say the show will focus on T-Boz raising her daughter, overcoming health issues including a brain tumor, and returning to music.
"If I didn’t have bad things happen, I wouldn’t know the good things. I’m wiser now. With age comes wisdom and I’m looking forward to becoming wiser. I’m not one of those people who is ashamed to say how old I am – I'm 41 – because other people told me I wasn’t even supposed to be alive at this age," T-Boz shared with CNN last Fall. "It made me who I am and I’m happy with me and I’m just glad I learned from my mistakes."
News of this series focusing on T-Boz follows that of another in development show focusing on the exes of entertainers including 50 Cent and "Khloe & Lamar" star Lamar Odom..
While it's unclear when it will air, sources are comparing it to VH1's "Basketball Wives" with 50 Cent's ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins and Odom's ex wife Liza Morales attached to star.
As of late TLC has had much success with the phenom "Honey Boo Boo" and appears to be gearing up to capitalize further on "reality" television and the ratings that follow.
