Rihanna Drafts A$AP Rocky For Opening VMA Performance, Plus Cockiness Remix
Rihanna will open the anticipated MTV Video Music Awards with new music Thursday.

According to MTV sources, the "Talk That Talk" singer has selected A$AP Rocky for what will end up being the televised debut of their remix to "Cockiness."

Featured on her latest album, "Cockiness" follows hits like "Where Have You Been," "We Found Love" and the title track "Talk That Talk."



A$AP Rocky joins newly announced performers including Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz.

Hosted by Kevin Hart, with additional performances from Alicia Keys, Frank Ocean, Demi Lovato, Carly Rae Jepsen and more, the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) air Thursday, September 6 at 8 p.m. on MTV. Red Carpet and pre-show festivities will kick off at 7 p.m.
