With songs like “Don’t Wake Me Up” and “Turn Up The Music,” Chris Brown has clinched his first no.1 charting album in the UK.
According to the Official Charts Company, Brown’s fifth studio album, “Fortune,” debuted at no.1 Sunday.
“The 23-year-old US R&B singer’s fifth full-length album has knocked Linkin Park’s Living Things off the top spot, outselling its closest competitor, Maroon 5’s Overexposed (Number 2) by 11,000 copies,” the Official Charts Company reports.
With collaborations with Nas, Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa, the album is Brown’s anticipated follow up to “F.A.M.E.” That album earned a Grammy earlier this year.
Official stateside (U.S.) sales figures and standings will be made available later this week. “Fortune” is expected to top the Billboard 200 Albums Chart.
