Trey Songz has officially wrapped production on ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D’.
The “Heart Attack” singer broke the news with Tim Westwood today, saying the role was not something he was looking for at all. It just happened.
“It’s amazing to have been in my first film, my first leading role,” says Songz. “It was something that wasn’t really in my plan.”
While he’s happy to have finished the flick, which is due in theaters February 2013, Trey was apprehensive because of how Black characters stereotypically die first in horror movies.
“Because it’s a horror movie, you know what happens to Black people,” Songz jokes in video below. “John Luessenhop (Director) came to the studio and said I want to change some things around for you. Whatever you want, we can make it happen. He wanted to make it very modern and do new things. It’s 3D and I think ladies would enjoy seeing me in 3D.”
In related news, Trey is gearing up for the release of “Chapter V,” his aptly titled fifth studio album. Led by the single “Two Reasons,” “Chapter V” is due August 21.
