El Debarge is famous for eighties hits such as “I Like It” and “All This Love.” Unfortunately, what’s equally famous is the singer’s drug addiction and numerous arrests for various drug-related charges. The 50-year-old music veteran made a comeback in 2010 with the album ‘Second Chance,’ and was nominated for two Grammy’s, but shortly after, news surfaced that Debarge entered rehab yet again just days before kicking off his tour. Little did fans know that rapper 50 Cent and R&B entrepreneur Babyface had been the ones to lend a helping hand to the troubled star. In a recent radio interview with Atlanta’s V103 radio station, Debarge candidly tells of their intervention.

He explains, “I started getting these thoughts, and I called 50 cent up, and I said, ‘You gotta help me…I’m already on my way to doing something wrong.’ So 50 came like five cars deep, picked me up right from where I was, got me outta there, they met up with Babyface, they took me into Interscope, we all had a meeting, and they said, ‘Man why don’t you just go to rehab.'”

He reassures he never physically went back to the narcotics, but that the relapse was in his mind, saying, “You have to get your mind right, and you have to have the tools to that you need to stay in recovery.”

DeBarge also spoke about how he saw Whitney Houston a few days before her untimely passing, and briefly planned on working together. “She said ‘I need you, I wanna finish my album, I want you to sing with me…’ I was just happy that she embraced me like that, and I wanted to do something, but the next thing I know, she was gone,” he adds.

Hopefully that meeting with Whitney Houston shortly before her passing will help him as a reminder to stay on the right track.

El DeBarge: Interview Part 2

El Debarge is a beloved R&B singer and songwriter who rose to fame in the 1980s with hits like ‘Rhythm of the Night’ and ‘Who’s Johnny’. While he has inspired countless fans over the years, his personal life has been marred with struggles including drug addiction. Recently, El opened up about how two fellow music legends saved him from relapse.

In an emotional interview on The Breakfast Club radio show, El revealed that 50 Cent and Babyface provided valuable support during his battle against substance abuse. Both artists have had their own struggles in the past but were able to share advice which helped him stay sober through tough times.

It is not often we hear stories of celebrities helping each other out behind closed doors. This story offers insight into what it takes for those battling addictions to find strength when everything seems lost. Read on to learn more about how 50 Cent and Babyface aided El Debarge in overcoming his demons.

Background Of El Debarge’s Struggles

El Debarge has had a tumultuous career in music that is full of struggles. Born into a musical family, he found success as the lead singer and songwriter for his band DeBarge in the early 1980s. His hit single “Rhythm of the Night” made him an overnight star, but it wasn’t long before addiction began to take control of his life. For years, he battled drug abuse and was even sent to jail on multiple occasions due to possession charges. Despite these trials and tribulations, El managed to stay sober until 2005 when he relapsed after trying too hard to maintain sobriety.

Fortunately for El, two people stepped up during this difficult time: 50 Cent and Babyface. The dynamic duo offered their support by taking El out on tour with them so they could help guide him back towards recovery. During this time, they provided much-needed companionship which allowed El to slowly regain his strength and focus on getting clean again.

Their friendship also gave him access to resources such as medical professionals who specialized in treating substance abuse disorders. With their help, El was able to get back on track and overcome his relapse – something that would not have been possible without them stepping in at such a crucial moment. It’s clear that 50 Cent and Babyface played an instrumental role in helping save one of music’s most beloved artists from himself during what could have been a very dark period indeed!

How 50 Cent And Babyface Helped El Debarge Overcome Addiction

The support of 50 Cent and Babyface was absolutely essential in helping El Debarge overcome his addiction. They provided him with a safe, nurturing environment that allowed him to focus on recovery without the distractions of everyday life. During this time, they also gave him access to medical professionals who specialize in substance abuse treatment. This combination of friendship and resources proved invaluable for getting El back on track and eventually beating his relapse.

Throughout the process, 50 Cent and Babyface were there every step of the way providing moral support and guidance when needed most. Their presence offered an important reminder that despite difficult times, it’s still possible to surround yourself with positive people who can help you reach your goals. Thanks to their steadfast dedication, El was able to gain confidence again and take control over sobriety once more – something he wouldn’t have been able to do alone.

Ultimately, 50 Cent and Babyface played a critical role in not only saving El from himself but showing others how powerful having genuine relationships can be during moments of struggle. Through their actions, they demonstrated that no matter what obstacles may come our way, we never truly have to face them alone if we open ourselves up to those around us.

Conclusion

In conclusion, El Debarge is a remarkable example of how people can overcome hardship, even when the odds may seem insurmountable. His story of addiction and subsequent recovery shows us that it’s never too late to turn your life around. It was 50 Cent and Babyface who provided the support he needed to achieve this transformation – without them, his struggles with relapse could have been much worse.

Their compassion for El Debarge reveals something about their character; they didn’t have an obligation to help him out but chose to do so anyway. This demonstrates their commitment to helping those in need, showing us all that together we are stronger than our individual circumstances. We should all be grateful for the positive influence these two artists had on El Debarge’s journey towards sobriety.
