Bobby Brown is ready to release his first solo album in 14 years entitled ‘The Masterpiece.’ Known for creating timeless hits like “Girlfriend”, “Don’t Be Cruel”, “My Prerogative”, and “Every Little Step,” the set is led by the single “Don’t Let Me Die,” and will arrive in stores June 5th via Bobby Brown Productions/Bronx Bridge Entertainment, Inc./Fontana.
“I simply wanted to create a body of work that will take listeners on a musical journey; the style of music that will allow people to get in touch with their highs and lows and their joys and pain of living through song,” Bobby Brown says about the upcoming solo project. “At the same time, I am hoping to bridge the gap between good old R&B and R&B of today.”
Bobby Brown has delivered two successful solo albums, selling over 7 million copies and has 5 top ten hits as well as a Grammy Award for Best Rhythm and Blues Vocal Performance, Male in 1989.
In related news, Brown is set to wed fiance Alicia Etheridge after a two-year engagement. The nuptials will take place in Hawaii the weekend of June 15. The couple have one child, Cassius Brown.
