Taking on questions and accusations, including the one that he is to blame for Whitney Houston's struggle with drugs and alcohol, Brown insists he did not "get high" prior to meeting Houston.
"Not true. I didn't get high [on narcotics] before I met Whitney. I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn't the one that got Whitney on drugs at all," says Brown.
Going on to say it's "unexplainable" how people could accuse him of getting Houston addicted, Brown said "I'm not the reason she's gone" and drugs were a part of her life "way before" he was even in the picture.
Nonetheless, Brown feels "terrible" about her death and accusations thrown his way. He insists "I know differently. If anybody ever spent time around us instead of time lookin' through the bubble, they would know how we felt about each other. They would know how happy we were together."
Bobby Brown's interview on The Today Show airs Wednesday, May 2 and Thursday, May 3.
