Robin Thicke has a busy year ahead with not only his upcoming reality competition
series 'Duets,' airing on ABC, but a screenplay he hopes to bring to either the big or
small screen.
While he is keeping the latter project in a corner for now, describing the screenplay as
part "thriller, adventure and romance," Thicke is excited about Duets.
"I think it makes it a little more enticing for the audience to get to see the new talent,
and also have people that they like performing different types of songs for them each
week,” says Thicke.
As reported earlier this Spring, Thicke will join Kelly Clarkson, Lionel Richie and
Jennifer Nettles as a mentor on the series. Each mentor will travel cross country
looking for talented acts. Once they select a final two, each mentor will perform with
their acts until a winner is crowned with a Hollywood Records recording contract.
Duets premieres this Summer on ABC.
