It almost went down in Australia. Rihanna and Chris Brown's girlfriend almost met face to face at an airport in Sydney Australia Wednesday.

Based on their tweets from Twitter and local reports, Brown arrived in Australia for the Supafest music festival as Rihanna was leaving after promoting Battleship (which opens this weekend in Australia).

"Bye down under," Rihanna told fans via Twitter with Chris Brown tweeting shortly after "Australia."

For weeks there has been much talk of a beef between Rihanna and Karruche, especially after Rih-Rih tweeted a pic of rice cakes with earrings purportedly representing Karrueche Tran.

In related news, Rihanna popped off on a news reporter in Australia Wednesday.

Calling the reporter's line of questioning "frustrating," Rihanna ended the interview after telling the reporter the public is "interested in a lot of things. A lot of things that don't matter or shouldn't."

The reporter had asked her about dating rumors.
