SF Bay Area based soul singer Goapele has released the brand new music video for her new single “Tears On My Pillow.” Directed by John Mazyck, the clip showcases Goapele in a high fashion themed setting that is both mysterious and whimsical.
Produced by Bobby Ozuna, “Tears On My Pillow” is taken from Goapele’s latest studio album ‘Break of Dawn,” which was released last fall. The project includes collaborations with Kerry “Krucial” Brothers, Bobby Ozuna, Malay, Bedrock and Dan Electric.
“One of my goals for [Break of Dawn] was to be more uninhibited,” Goapele says. “I came into this business as a young woman who wanted to lay a foundation of musical integrity and now I’m more willing to share my sensuality as well. I realize that it’s possible to be both complex and provocative.”
In related news, “Goapele will make her big screen debut this fall in the highly anticipated remake, “Sparkle.” The film stars the late, Whitney Houston, Jordin Sparks, Mike Epps, and Derek Luke to name a few. The film was directed by Salim Akil.
