Former lovers Rihanna and Chris Brown are set to go head to head in an inaugural dance music prize at the 2012 mtvU Woodie Awards.
The two superstars, who parted ways in 2009, were both nominated in the new Electronic Dance Music category for the MTV University music prize-giving award.
Rihanna’s No.1 hit “We Found Love” featuring Calvin Harris will go up against Brown and Benny Benassi’s “Beautiful People.” Additional nominees in the slot include Flo Rida and Avicii’s “Good Feeling,” Kanye West and Jay Z’s “Who Gon Stop Me,” Martin Solveig and Kele’s “Ready 2 Go,” and Laidback Luke and Steve Aoki’s “Turbulence.”
The annual mtvU Woodie Awards, voted for by college students, will take place on March 18, 2012 in Austin, Texas.
