Legendary soul singer Etta James is doing better. The “At Last” hitmaker is now breathing on her own and off the respirator after being admitted to the hospital on December 21 with breathing trouble.
James’ manager Lupe De Leon says the 73-year-old’s blood pressure is normal.
James has been diagnosed with terminal leukemia and is suffering from dementia. Prior to being admitted, James has been under 24-hour care at her California home.
Our prayers go out to Etta and her family.
