We guess releasing six albums in six years has its payoffs. Pop/R&B star Rihanna has accomplished a new feat by surpassing Pop Queen Madonna as a solo artist with 20 Top 10 singles on the chart in the fastest span of time, six years and four months.
The 23-year-old made her chart debut in 2005 with debut single “Pon de Replay” and in the last six years she has continued to place hits, more recently with the new single “We Found Love,” which nodded her No. 20.
Even though RiRi took the title from Madonna, beating her by five months, the Barbadian beauty still falls second to The Beatles, who scored 20 hits in only two years, seven months and one week.
As far as total hits, Rihanna still trails the “Material Girl,” who leads all females with 37 top 10s. Following behind her are Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson (27 each) and Whitney Houston (23).
