When you first meet someone, it sometimes feels like love at first sight when it’s really infatuation. And sometimes you think you’re infatuated with someone when you’re really falling in love. So how do you tell the difference between the two? Here are some key signs:

If you are physically attracted to the person, you may be infatuated.
If you are physically, mentally and emotionally attracted to the person, you may be in love.

If you think about the person often throughout the day, you may be infatuated.
If you think about the person almost all of the time, you may be in love.

If you want to talk to the person every day, you may be infatuated.
If you want to talk to the person every day just to ensure he or she is having a good day, you may be in love.

If you love going out and having fun with the person, you may be infatuated.
If you love spending time with the person even if you’re doing absolutely nothing at all, you may be in love.

If you want the person to be your lady/man, you may be infatuated.
If you want the person to be a part of your life, you may be in love.

If you want the person to meet your friends, you may be infatuated.
If you want to introduce the person to your family, you may be in love.

If you’ve imagined marrying the person, you may be infatuated.
If you’ve dreamed of building a future together with the person, you’re probably in love.
