We know Jennifer Hudson loves her Oscar but her incredible weight loss is nearer and dearer to her heart. In the new issue of Self magazine, which the singer-actress covers, she shares secrets about her amazing new figure, insisting she started her fitness regime after giving birth to her son David Jr. in 2009 by walking 30 minutes each day.
“It was all I could do. I figured me walking was better than me sitting on a couch. Before long, I built up to other things,” Hudson told the mag.
Now, after shedding a whopping 80lbs and with reports that she is now a size zero, she says: “I’m prouder of my weight loss than my Oscar!”
Hudson also continued to praise her WeightWatchers dietary plan, which helped her break her “diet mentality,” insisting “I can eat anything I want, it’s about portions and balance.”
And for fans or onlookers who might be worried that Hudson won’t be able to belt out those strong notes anymore, she adds: “My voice has actually got stronger!”
