More Countries Join Youtube in Rihanna ‘S&M’ video Ban

Rihanna shows no signs of toning down any time soon but TV bosses aren’t hearing it. The UK Daily Mirror has learned that the video for her new single “S&M” is so steamy, it’s already been banned in 11 countries and counting.

Southern Asian countries immediately banned it, MTV is considering a re-edit, and BBC Radio 1 has vetoed playing it until after 7pm.

As Singersroom recently reported, the ban started with Youtube, who considered the video “inappropriate” for viewers under the age of 18; placing a restriction on the clip with the warning message: “This content may contain material flagged by YouTube’s user community that may be inappropriate for some users.”

RiRi is no stranger to ruffling feathers with her racy visuals; her girl-on-girl action in “Te Amo” previously led to a ban.
