If you watched Tyler Perryâs âWhy Did I Get Married Too,â Janet Jacksonâs scene where she is seen smashing everything in the house with a golf club would be one of the first thing that comes to mind. Well according to Janet, she found filming the scene helpful, since it was right after the death of her brother Michael Jackson. “Bashing up that stuff with the golf club, I enjoyed that. I needed it and it came at the right time,â Janet tells the Daily Record newspaper. “After reading the script and then going through what had happened in my own family, I was really thankful for the opportunity to completely let go of some things, to just unleash.” Janet, who says she left the night of the funeral service to film the following day, also credits the film producer Tyler Perry for all his support. “Life goes on. You have to as well. You can’t just stop. It’s not healthy.” She added: “Tyler was constantly calling me to see how I was doing. He asked me, ‘How do you want to be treated on set?’ And I said, ‘The way they treated me, no differently.’ “And that’s exactly what it was. They thought it was important they didn’t bring up what had happened, and that was fine with me.” Janet is currently shooting the Tyler Perry new filmâFor Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enufâ. Also starring in the film are Anika Noni Rose, Kerry Washington, Kimberly Elise, Phylicia Rashad, Loretta Divine, Tessa Thompson and Thandie Newton.
