Is Toni Braxton’s worst fear coming true when it comes to “Pulse,” her first album in over four years ? According sales projections revealed earlier this week, Braxton’s “Pulse” is struggling to make the top 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and may even miss the top tier on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. Led by the singles “Make My Heart” and “Hands Tied,” Braxton’s Atlantic debut is projected to sell just 45-50k copies, making it one of her lowest charting debuts. Just last month, Braxton admitted that this project could be a make or break, stating “You just want to create, but I know if I don’t sell, I’m not going to be able to make another album.” While news of Braxton’s ‘trouble’ on the charts is not good, the “Yesterday” singer has, in the past, sold millions, reaching Gold and Platinum, gradually. Toni Braxton’s last album, “Libra,” was released in 2005. Featuring the single “Please,” “Libra” has been certified Gold by the RIAA.
