I Don’t Care singer Raheem Devaughn is hands on with his career, from the music and packaging to touring. While other artists may avoid the subject of casting for music videos, Devaughn is front row and center, claiming to demand ‘chocolate’ women… “I can only speak for myself; but some artists are not as hands on with their situation as I may be. You have several artists who donât care about their image is, they donât care about none of that. Iâm pretty hands-on with what goes on, with that in particular [selection of females], the âI donât careâ video, I was very adamant having chocolate,” Devaughn confirmed in a recent interview. “I feel like all the women are beautiful. We try to spread it out; spread the love. I mean, I donât feel like every video should have a dark skinned girl or every video should have a light skinned woman, I feel like variety is important.” Devaughn’s latest single and video, “I Don’t Care” is climbing the R&B and European music charts, following songs like “Bulletproof”. His latest album, “The Love & War Masterpeace” was released in March.
