If you were waiting for the release of Jennifer Lopez’s next album, “Love ?,” the wait has been extended and may be indefinite. According to numerous reports, Lopez has parted ways with her recording home, Epic Records ! Contrary to early reports stating Lopez was dropped due to what some are calling a failed single (“Louboutins”), Lopez’s management claims the split was amicable. “Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music Group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction of her career as an actress and recording artist,” states Lopez’s manager, Benny Medina. “She is grateful and appreciative to everyone at Sony for all that they accomplished together.” At this time, the fate of “Love ?” is unknown as Lopez is rumored to be in talks with other labels. What has been confirmed, at least by Deadline.com, is a greatest hits package. Originally reported to be on its way early 2009, the greatest hits package is now slated for a fall 2010 release.
