Contrary to what select sources and the New York Post penned hours after her “Stronger With Each Tear” album release party this week, Mary J. Blige and hubby Kendu Isaacs are “happy as can be”. According to the “I Am” singer’s publicist the alleged altercation was nothing more than an misunderstanding. “People lie and don’t know what they’re talking about,” Kerynne Tencer, a rep for Blige told the New York Post. “They’re as happy as can be. They’re spending the holidays together with their three children. Everything’s great.” Numerous sources claimed Blige became upset with Isaacs after he was allegedly caught flirting with waitresses at M2 Ultra Lounge. Reportedly telling him “You’re not going to ruin my night,” sources say Blige got in her husband’s face. As the two exchanged words, unidentified parties tried to separate them to no avail as Blige allegedly drew back and either slapped or punched Isaacs in the face. She was then rumored to have said something to the effect of “What are you gonna do… Chris Brown me ?”. In related news, “Stronger With Each Tear” is expected to arrive at no.2 on the Billboard 200 next week. Sales predictions released earlier this week indicate the album will sell upwards of 350,000 copies.
