Russell Simmons has tapped Hip Hop superstars Young Jeezy, T.I. and LL Cool J for what has been billed the Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball ! Tapped by Simmons, Dr. Benjamin Chavis, Valeisha Butterfield and the Hip Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN), the Hip Hop stars, who have several chart-topping hits between them, will aid in celebrating President elect Barack Obama. Teaming up with Myspace Music and Heineken organizers say: “The Hip-Hop Inaugural ball will be a fantastic gala and upscale party in celebration of Barack Obama being inaugurated President of the United States”. “We are also recognizing the outstanding contributions of T.I., LL Cool J, and Young Jeezy in helping turn out the largest young adult vote in history,” Russell Simmons explained. The Hip Hop Inaugural Ball will take place on Jan. 19, according to AllHipHop.com, at The Harman Center for the Arts, located on 610 F. Street, NW in Washington D.C.
