Let’s face it, most people don’t even want to get out of bed on a rainy day. So trying to tame the frizzies and flatness is completely out of the question. If you’re sporting a natural look, the last thing you want to do is spend an already dreary day trying to keep your hair from looking like you stuck your finger in a socket. For those of us with relaxed hair, don’t even think about looking at a curling iron. As soon as the humidity meets those curls, they disappear. Here are a few tips on how to keep it cute and simple on those rainy days.
Senorita Bun: To achieve this look, simply pull the hair back into a ponytail, apply gel around the sides to tame flyaways, and pin the remaining hair into a neat bun around the side of the neck. To add some spice, leave a few strands out of the ponytail and spike them around the bun. Apply spritz for maximum hold, throw on a pair of gold or silver hoop earrings, and go!
Scarf: This look can also be achieved with a scarf. Simply tie a thick scarf around your head and pull it back into a neat bun. It’s almost the same effect as the Senorita bun but the hair is completely covered with a scarf.
Hat: Another idea is to tie a scarf around the hair, letting the side of the scarf hang just above your shoulder, and throw on a cute hat. This look can also be complimented with long or hoop earrings.
Whatever look you choose, be sure to moisturize your hair before doing so. —— By: Tiffany Haggerty
