TMZ reports the IRS has filed a tax lien against Blige for $3.4 million, which is the total unpaid taxes from years 2009, 2010, and 2011.

It seems Mary J. Blige is having some financial woes. After being hit with a lawsuit recently for defaulting on a bank loan, the Queen of Hip Hop/Soul was slapped with a tax lien by the State Of New Jersey, who wants their $901,769.65 in unpaid taxes.

Speaking with Los Angeles Confidential Magazine, Blige revels that she’s now putting the alcohol away for good, and it’s all because of Whitney Houston’s death, implying the tragedy was a wake-up call.
